Enrolment and Eligibility

Admission Requirement

  • Completion of senior secondary education or equivalent (e.g., WAEC, GCSE, BAC, A-Levels, or equivalent national exams).
  • Minimum of 5 passes including Mathematics and English.
  • For technical fields, a strong background in science or relevant vocational subjects is preferred.
  • Applicants must be 17 years or older at the time of admission.
  • Proof of proficiency in English (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent), except for native English speakers or those from English-instruction institutions.
  • Portuguese or German language knowledge is an added advantage, especially for progression to partner universities.
  • A 300–500 word motivation letter stating academic interests, career goals, and reason for choosing the dual certification pathway.
  • Online or in-person admissions interview to assess readiness and motivation (optional but recommended).
  • Valid passport (minimum 2 years validity) or national identity card for local applicants.

🏅 Diploma Certificate Requirements (End of Year 2):
  • Successfully complete Semesters 1 to 4 with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) as required by the institute.
  • Complete all practical placements, field assignments, and capstone projects.
  • Participate in at least two vocational/industry training placements.
  • Submit and defend a vocational capstone project.
  • Complete the Cape Verdean residency permit process by the end of Year 1.
🎓 BSc Degree Certificate Requirements (End of Year 4):
  • Successfully transition to a partner international university.
  • Complete Years 3 and 4 including academic coursework, research project, and field specialization modules.
  • Submit and present a final capstone research thesis or applied project.
  • Pass all academic evaluations and meet degree awarding standards of the host university.
🌍 Additional Requirements for International Progression
  • Must process the residency permit between Year 1 and Year 2 with guidance from the International Office.
  • Must obtain the appropriate study visa for the country of their partner university (Portugal, Germany, USA, or New Zealand).
  • Must maintain a good academic and behavioral record to qualify for international progression.
  • Placement depends on specialization field, academic performance, and institutional partner availability.

  • All residency and visa costs are to be borne by the student.
  • Students are advised to keep copies of all legal and academic documents throughout the program.
  • Dual certification offers both local vocational and international academic credentials, positioning students for global opportunities.
