Operation CIE-IE is LAGAI Institute's flagship earn-while-you-learn initiative — establishing Africa's first integrated student enterprise platform within a vocational training institute. Every Friday to Sunday, students open their skills to the community and earn real income.

Students are grouped by their specialised skills and talents. Each group operates as a professional service unit, delivering quality to the public and earning from it.

Professional styling, hair care, braiding, and beauty treatment services open to the community.
Barbers
Men's precision grooming, haircuts, beard styling, and scalp treatment services.
Bakers & Caterers
Delicious pastries, event catering, and hospitality services crafted by our culinary students.
IT & Digital Services
Tech support, graphic design, web development, and digital solutions for individuals and businesses.
Tailors & Designers
Fashion design, bespoke clothing, alterations, and cultural garment creation.
Arts & Music
Handcrafted artworks, live performances, murals, and cultural artistic expressions.
Mechanics
Technical repairs, vehicle maintenance, small appliance servicing, and electrical work.
Language Trainers
Conversational language classes, children's activities, and multilingual tutoring sessions.
Operations & Financial Model
Service Delivery
Students perform their specialised service to visiting members of the public and community.
Revenue Collected
All income from services is collected centrally and recorded transparently for each group.
Deductions Applied
A small 5% deduction covers VAT obligations and essential maintenance of the exhibition space.
Profit Share
The remaining 95% is split equally among participating students in the group that week.
Transparent & Fair Distribution
Our financial model puts students first. Every transaction is recorded, every cent accounted for — with 95% returning directly to the students who earned it.
